Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SchedU. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SchedU.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be a student or otherwise eligible to use the service, and at least 13 years old.

2. The service

SchedU helps you organize courses, grades, and schedules, and offers AI-assisted features. AI output (e.g., parsed syllabi, grade projections, the Grade Coach) is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete — it is for guidance only and is not academic, financial, or professional advice. Always verify important information (grades, deadlines, policies) with your instructor and your school's official systems.

3. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

• SchedU offers a free tier and paid plans (Plus and Pro), billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.

4. Connected services

When you connect Canvas, the SchedU browser extension, or Google Calendar, you authorize SchedU to access the data needed to sync your account. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms. You are responsible for complying with your school's and the provider's acceptable-use policies.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or disrupt it.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or others' private grades.
• Do not use the community features to harass, spam, or post unlawful content.
• Do not use SchedU to facilitate academic dishonesty in violation of your school's policies.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant SchedU a limited license to store and process it to provide the service. When you choose to share content to the community, you grant other users a license to view and import it.

7. Intellectual property

SchedU and its software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output or synced data will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SchedU will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, grades, or academic outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using SchedU at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
